VEAC (VeriFone Eftpos Access Controller)
The VEAC enables multiple VeriFone EFTPOS terminals to communicate via a single phone line. This provides proven and reliable dial-up communications as a redundancy option for broadband connected sites. It can alternatively be used as the primary source of communication, enabling multiple EFTPOS terminals to share a single phone line.
-
When used for redundancy comms, the switch over to the VEAC is a seemless automatic process, as is the switch back, once primary IP comms is restored
-
Multiple terminals can be registered and transact through the VEAC
-
The terminals are connected to the VEAC through the merchants LAN. If the broadband connection to Paymark is lost, the terminals will then communicate through the VEAC, via phone line to Paymark
-
Multiple transactions will be queued for processing
-
The VEAC displays usage information to show traffic sent and received
-
Reports can be printed for the terminals registered to the VEAC
